This tank trades height for floor space. A 33 inch base slips into a corner, between two pieces of equipment or into a containment area that is already busy, and the tank makes up its 200 gallons by standing 69 inches tall. That is above eye level on most adults, so plan a step or a transfer pump for filling.

The natural white wall is useful on a tank this tall. Light passes through it, so you can read the level from the floor in normal light instead of climbing up to look. The same light reaches the liquid, though: water stored in sun can grow algae, and light sensitive liquids belong in a black tank. Indoors or in shade, the white wall is an advantage.

The resin is cross-linked polyethylene, XLPE. Bonding the polymer chains together during moulding gives a tougher wall that resists stress cracking better than standard polyethylene, with a 140 F service limit. What to check before you buy

1. Restraint. A tall tank on a narrow base has a high centre of weight. Band it to a wall, a frame or anchors while it is empty, and check the bands after the first week of service.
2. The base. The full 3,169 lb of a dense load bears on that 33 inch circle. It needs a flat, level, continuous surface; the concrete pad sizing guide explains why.
3. The openings. No outlet or manway size is confirmed for this tank on this page. Tell us the connections you need and we will confirm the outlet and the top opening from Snyder's drawing before it ships.
4. Ceiling height. Allow room above the 69 inch height to open the top and get a fill line in.
