Where the half inch pays for itself

Nobody buys half an inch for its own sake. What 36.5 inches of width buys is the difference between a tank that drops flat between two wheel arches, two rails or two rack uprights and one that has to be wrestled in at an angle and shimmed. On a bed already fitted with a reel on one side and a locker on the other, the narrowest body in the family is often the only one that goes in flat, and 38.25 inches of height sits under a canopy line or a rack shelf that the taller bodies will not clear.
