Where this tank earns its keep

This is dark storage for a dense liquid on a small footprint: a liquid fertilizer or feed solution at a farm or nursery that has to stay out of the light, a brine or concentrate at a small plant, a process makeup tank squeezed between two vessels already in place, or rainwater and reclaimed water on a site that wants a dark tank so nothing grows in it. If the liquid is not warm and not one of the chemistries that needs a crosslinked wall, this plain polyethylene tank does the job for less than the premium walls. Three site jobs come before the plumbing. The pad: the full weight lands on a 34 inch circle, so pour it level and in full contact under the whole base to the concrete pad sizing guide. The strap: an empty 75 lb tank 83 inches tall is the shape wind moves, so band it to structure the day it lands. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. A 14 inch threaded vented manway on top, 83 inches up. That is platform height: a fixed step or a tied-off platform ladder, and a permanent fill line landed at the manway.
2. Outlet. The manway is the only opening listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you need when you order and we will confirm what can be fitted, in what material, before anything is drilled.
3. Vent and fill. Pipe the vent outdoors on anything that fumes and size it to the delivery pump. A dip tube to the floor stops the stream free-falling and foaming.

Two people or a pallet jack take it off, straps under the body and never through the manway. Check the part number against 5990500N51 on the bill of lading and look over the base before the driver leaves. Fill it with water the first time, hold it, walk the base and the pad edge twice looking for a weep or a rocking spot, then drain it before the working liquid arrives.
