The mistake to avoid
Do not assume any polyethylene tank handles your chemistry, and do not reuse fittings or gaskets from a different application. The single most common error on a chemical install is mismatching fitting and gasket materials. The same tank wants Viton on sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid but EPDM on aluminum sulfate, and DEF and peracetic acid are the two chemistries here that reject PVC outright and require 316 stainless fittings.
