Snyder part number 5580000N30 is a 2,500 gallon Captor double wall tank that Snyder builds for sulfuric acid. It is high density linear polyethylene, opaque white, 102 inches in diameter and only 122 inches tall, and it weighs 1100 lb empty. Two walls: the inner tank holds the acid, the outer tank surrounds it and holds any leak from the inner wall, so the secondary containment is part of the tank. It has an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Where it goes
This tank is built low. At 122 inches it stands inside a chemical room or a pump house with an ordinary roof, and the wide 102 inch base keeps it steady and makes the fill and the manway reachable from a platform or a short ladder. It suits a smaller water or wastewater plant dosing acid for pH, a fertilizer or chemical dealer, or a plant line that wants bulk acid without a tall tank.
