Snyder Industries 2500 Gallon ASTM Black Captor Double Wall Tank

Heavy rating, shorter shell

At 122 inches tall on a 102 inch base this is a broad, squat tank for its volume, which makes it the size that fits under a building's eaves, inside a chemical room with a lower ceiling, or on a site where the manway has to be reachable from a short platform. The 1.9 rating means a liquid up to 1.9 times the weight of water is within the wall's rating, so dense treatment chemicals stored between bulk deliveries are the usual reason to buy it: water and wastewater works, boiler houses, cooling towers, metals finishing, mining. The black wall keeps light off the contents. The 120 F limit is the one to watch, because black in direct sun runs warm; shade the tank in a hot climate or ask us about the crosslinked version linked below. Base, clearance and the usable volume

Design the base for the full load, not the 1,100 lb on the truck. The whole 102 inch circle needs a flat, continuous, level surface with no rails and nothing packed under one edge. Measure the clear height to include the manway and whoever opens it. What to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on the inner tank, for filling, instruments and inspection.
2. Outlet. Our page lists the manway, not a pipe fitting. Tell us the draw-off and fill you need, and we will confirm with Snyder what the tank ships with.
3. Level. Black hides the liquid line; plan a gauge or a transmitter.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Lincoln, Nebraska, 102 by 102 by 122 inches and 1,100 lb. Arrange a forklift with long forks or a crane before the truck arrives.
