The Snyder Industries 3000 gallon ASTM XLPE Captor double wall tank, part number 5590000N42, is a contained bulk tank in natural white crosslinked linear polyethylene. Captor is Snyder's name for a tank moulded inside a second wall: the inner tank holds the liquid and the outer one holds a leak. It is 102 inches in diameter and 142 inches tall, weighs 1,900 lb empty, and has an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Snyder rates the wall for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity with a service limit of 140 F (60 C). The tank carries a 3 year warranty. 3,000 gallons of water weighs 25,020 lb; at the full 1.9 rating the contents can reach 47,538 lb.

A heavy rating and a warm limit in one tank
This tank pairs a 1.9 specific gravity rating with a 140 F service limit. The 1.9 wall holds a liquid nearly twice the weight of water, so a dense chemical is within its rating; the 140 F limit allows for product that arrives warm or a tank that stands in sun. That is why a treatment plant, a metals or mining site, or a chemical distributor picks this one when the shell has to stay useful through changes in what it stores. Natural white has a practical advantage too: in good light you can see the liquid line through the wall, which a black tank does not allow. Pad, height and the real volume
The base has to carry the full tank on a flat, continuous, level surface under the whole 102 inch circle. The concrete pad sizing guide shows where a standard slab ends. - Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on the inner tank: fill hose, level transmitter, inspection.
