Snyder Industries part number 6984200B51306 is a 300 gallon Supertainer IBC tote in 304 stainless steel, 42 inches long, 48 inches wide and 41.25 inches tall, 424 lb empty. It arrives plumbed with a 2 inch access port on top as the inlet, a 2 inch 316 stainless steel ball valve as the outlet and a 22 inch vented manway, and the silver finish is the bare metal. It is the lowest of the mid-size steel Supertainers, and that makes it the one that goes on a pickup bed, a flatbed or a service trailer and comes back, as well as the one that fits under a low mezzanine. 300 gallons of water weighs 2,502 lb, and with the tare the loaded tote is close to a ton and a half, which is the first number to check against a vehicle's payload rating.

On a vehicle, in a yard, under a mezzanine
A tote that travels wants to be low and square, and this one is both: 42 by 48 inches on the plan, the pallet module a liftgate and a forklift were built around, and 41.25 inches tall so it sits below the cab roof and most headache racks. Strap it through the frame, never over the manway, and check the strapping after the first few miles because liquid moves. Full, it is a ton and a half of load that the vehicle's suspension and brakes, not the tote, are the limit on. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under the whole frame, and it goes under a mezzanine or through a roller door that a taller tote will not clear. The manway sits at bench height, so filling, sampling and cleaning happen standing on the ground beside the vehicle, which is a real advantage when the tote is worked out of a truck bed.

Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch 316 stainless ball valve, factory fitted low on the vessel. On a vehicle it must be closed, capped and checked before every move; an open 2 inch valve empties a tote fast. Support any hose on its own bracket.
- Inlet. A 2 inch access port on top for a closed fill. Confirm the thread form with us before buying adapters or camlocks.
- Manway. 22 inches, vented. Keep it closed and the vent clear in transit; open it for filling, sampling and cleaning. A low tote has little air space above a full load, so leave headroom when you fill.
