The Ultratainer and the lower service temperature on its sheet

Read the temperature line before anything else on this page, because it is the field that decides whether this is your tote. Every other 330 gallon tote in this group publishes a higher figure on that line; this one publishes 105 F / 41 C. That is the number to check your duty against, and it rules the Ultratainer in or out before footprint, weight or fittings get a look in. At 70 inches it stands nearly eighteen inches above the Excalibur SII-6510101B96002 at 52.125 inches, six and a half above the red SII-6610056B97204 at 63.5, and nine above SII-6610056B97206 at 61. In exchange it takes a 46 inch square where the Excalibur wants 47 inches on a side, so it is the listing to choose when floor is short and the ceiling is not. It is also the second heaviest polyethylene tote on this table at 335 pounds, against 194 for the Excalibur, 267 for the red and 268.4 for the one with the named fittings. A 2 inch ball valve, a 2 inch bung and a small top opening

• The discharge: a 2 inch ball valve at the base of a 70 inch body, so there is real head behind it when the tote is full and very little when it is not. A quarter-turn valve is the right fitting for a tank an operator works daily, and full bore into a short falling line is how it gets used properly.
• The pump: mount it below the valve so it primes and stays primed as the level drops through seventy inches of shell. Keep the suction short, straight and falling, and put the strainer where a person can reach it without disturbing the tote.
• Isolation and support: shutoff hard against the valve, then a flexible connector, then the rigid line. A meter, filter or reel goes on its own bracket; nothing hangs on the fitting boss.
• The inlet: a 2 inch bung for closed filling. On a tank this tall, filling through the bung rather than the top is also the arrangement that keeps people off the tote.
• Access: the sheet gives a 5 inch lid size and a 6 inch threaded vented lid as the manway; both are printed as published. Either way it is a hose-and-wand opening rather than an arm, so the wash-out is done through fittings and a lance, not by reaching inside. Keep the vent path clear whenever the pump is drawing.
• Limits: 105 F / 41 C is the maximum operating temperature on this sheet, lower than its siblings, and the specific gravity rating is 1.9. No warranty term is published, and nothing beyond those two figures is claimed.

The common thread is that the product goes in at ambient and comes out at ambient, and nothing in the routine heats the tank.
