Where it goes

This tank is chosen with a tape measure held sideways: an alley between two vessels already standing, the end of an existing containment curb, a chemical room with a door and one free wall, a dosing station in a plant where the floor plan was settled years ago. Openings and fittings

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at 80 inches. That is platform work, so plan a fixed platform with a rail or a tied-off platform ladder, and land the fill line at the rim on a permanent connection. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; nearly seven feet of free fall aerates a liquid and coats the headspace.
2. Outlet. Tell us the liquid, its temperature and the draw-off arrangement you want when you order and we will confirm in writing what this tank accepts at the base, in what material, before anything is drilled. The standing column puts real pressure on a base fitting, so the first valve rides on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe.
