A tote holding a hazardous waste, an oil or a regulated chemical is rarely allowed to stand on a bare floor. The usual requirements are a containment area that holds the volume of the vessel, a way to see a leak before it leaves the area, and a written inspection schedule. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch 316 stainless ball valve, factory fitted low on the vessel. In a containment area the valve is the point most likely to drip, so cap it when it is not connected and put it where the inspection walk can see it.
- Inlet. A 2 inch access port on top for a closed fill. Confirm the thread form with us before buying adapters.
- Manway. 22 inches, vented. Large enough for a sampling thief, a light and a spray wand. The vent lets air replace liquid as the valve draws; keep it clear and never blank it.
