What it takes to reach a manway 163 inches up
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway on the top head at 163 inches, the same reach as the heavy wall tank in this molding. Fixed access with a rail, sized so a person can open the lid, look in with a light and get down without carrying anything.
- Outlet: the sheet lists the outlet as 12. It is the field as published and not a pipe size; we will not print it as one. Give us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into at order and the draw-off is specified then.
- Structure: four tiedown lugs and eight lifting lugs molded in, with ladder lugs on the wall for the access the site rules require.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Thirteen and a half feet of wall between the outlet and the lid is what this shape is for, and it shapes both ends of the job. On top, measure for the platform before the tank is ordered: 163 inches plus the lid swing, the vent riser and the fill line is the real height the building has to give. Fill down a dip tube to the floor so the delivery does not fall the length of the tank and aerate the load, and run the vent outdoors on a liquid that fumes, sized to the delivery pump.
