A compact tank for heavy liquids
At 102 by 130 inches this is a balanced shape: it fits a modest containment pad, stands under many shed roofs, and keeps the manway a short fixed ladder away. With the 1.9 rated wall, it suits the dense liquids that small and mid-size sites store in this volume: brine for roads or dust control, liquid fertilizer concentrates, water treatment and process solutions. Black keeps light off the contents, which matters for liquids that break down in sunlight. There is enough height over the base fitting to keep a transfer pump primed through most of the draw. The slab carries the full weight on the moulded base, and at 1.9 that is close to twice the load of the same tank full of water, so the pad has to be level and in full contact; our concrete pad sizing guide covers it. Set it inside a berm where the liquid is regulated, or plan a double wall install with the Captor double wall freeboard guide. Anchor it while empty.
What to check before you buy
- The liquid. Check it against polyethylene in our chemical compatibility guide. Heavier than 1.9 times water or above 120 F in service, call us before ordering.
- The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size and we will confirm the fitting before you order. Use a flexible connector to hard pipe and support the first valve off the pad.
- The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented, 130 inches up. Fill down a dip tube if the liquid fumes, and keep the vent clear.
