Warm process liquids that get watched by eye

This tank goes where a liquid runs warm and somebody has to know the level at a glance: a heated cleaning or caustic solution in a wash bay, a plating or finishing bath feed that arrives warm from the line, a food plant sanitation room, a boiler or cooling water chemistry room. Daylight is the only level instrument that never loses calibration, and on a tank that is dosed and refilled by hand it is worth more than a sender. The limit is the same as on any translucent wall: a liquid that fades or grows in light belongs in the black version of this shell. Walk the site with a tape before the order goes in: the fill line and the vent live above the 69 inch manway and need their own room, and the 53 inch base is wider than a standard doorway, so the route from the dock to the pad gets measured too. Then the ground: 3,670 lb of water, or up to 6,972 lb at the rating, bears on that 53 inch circle, because a rotomolded floor carries on its whole floor and on nothing else. Pour the slab per our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, inside a berm sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated. Bands to structure or anchors in the slab go on the day it lands.

Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Outlet. No bottom fitting is listed on this tank, so the draw-off is named at order. Tell us the liquid, its working temperature and the connection you want, and we will confirm with Snyder what this moulding accepts, in what material, before anything is drilled.
2. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway at 69 inches. Eighteen inches admits a fill line, a vent, a level probe and a cleaning wand comfortably, which is what makes this shell easy to keep clean.
3. Fill. Land a permanent fill connection at the manway so no driver holds a hose above his head, and run a dip tube to the floor so the incoming stream does not free-fall the height of the shell and foam.
4. Vent. Piped outdoors on anything that fumes, kept clear, and sized to the delivery pump rather than to whichever port is nearest.

At the tailgate, check the part number against 5770100N42 on the bill of lading, walk the wall and the manway threads for transit damage before signing, and fill it with water the first time before it carries anything else. Whatever is plumbed at the base gets its own support off the pad with a flexible connector to hard pipe, because polyethylene moves with temperature. Freeze protection belongs on the base piping, not the body.
