Acid and coagulant duty at 500 gallons

A cross-linked black wall rated 1.9 at 500 gallons is bought for the loads that make a standard tank a gamble: an acid in a plating or finishing line, a coagulant at a water plant, a warm process liquid at an industrial site, a concentrated chemical that also has to stay out of the light. The 140 F limit is why it can sit beside a warm process. Seventy-seven inches is the tallest column in this group, which is good for the pump and demanding on the ground. A pump mounted below the tank floor with a short, straight suction run stays flooded deep into the load. Underneath, 4,170 lb of water, or up to 7,923 lb at the rating, bears on a 53 inch circle, because a rotomolded floor carries on the whole pad and nowhere else; the slab is level and in full contact per our concrete pad sizing guide, and the tank is banded to structure before the first fill. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway at 77 inches, above comfortable reach, so plan a platform or a tied-off ladder and a permanent fill line landed at the lid. Fill and vent share this opening; a vent that cannot keep pace with the pump pressurizes the headspace against the gasket at the end of the fill, when nobody is watching.
2. Outlet. No bottom fitting is listed on this tank. Name the liquid and the draw-off at order and we will confirm what Snyder fits to this moulding before anything is cut.
3. Fill line. A dip tube to the floor. A stream falling 77 inches is the hardest splash in this family and it coats the wall you most need to see.
4. Piping. Anything plumbed to the tank rides on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe, never rigid pipe hung on the shell.
