Where it goes
Process plants that hold concentrated chemistry at temperature: caustic and acid on process lines, plating and metal finishing, pulp and paper, mineral processing, clean-in-place make-up in food and beverage plants where the solution is kept hot. The 102 inch circle fits a bunded corner or a gap beside a process line, and at 197 inches it clears a service run that the 5000 gallon version on the same footprint will not. The pad carries up to 71,307 lb, so it is a designed slab, poured flat, cured and checked with a level across both diagonals before delivery. Measure the clear height from the finished slab to the lowest service in the way, with a platform and the fill connection allowed for above the manway. Warm service works the top of the wall hardest, so plan the inspection round around the vapour line with the headspace wall thickness guide in hand.
Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. A warm headspace moves more air for the same change in level, so keep the vent path clear and look at it whenever the manway is opened. Access at 197 inches means a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection.
- Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the line size, the valve and the pump arrangement when you order and we will confirm with Snyder what 5620000N48 carries and what can be added before it ships.
- Temperature at the fittings. If the liquid runs near 140 F, say so. Gasket material, valve seats and flexible connections are chosen against temperature as well as chemistry; a warm-service weep almost always starts at a fitting, not the wall.
- Level. Black wall, no visual level. Choose the low level cut-out with the pump and mark the stop level before the first fill; a dense product also settles, so keep any suction foot clear of the bottom.
- The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank; specify it separately and inspect on a written schedule from the first week. Evidence that nothing has left the inner tank is the whole reason for the second wall.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 102 by 102 by 197 inches at 3,800 lb. Measure the route for height; a load over sixteen feet tall stops at a door head or a low gate frame. Lift from the base with equipment that has the reach, never by the manway. Set it plumb on the cured slab, fill with water, hold the 37,530 lb load while you read the manway seal and the base, then drain, dry and inspect the space between the walls. Record the ambient and liquid temperature at the first fill with the date; on a warm duty that baseline is what later inspections are judged against.
