Snyder part number 5620000N40 is a 4500 gallon double wall tank in natural white crosslinked linear polyethylene. A complete inner tank sits inside an outer containment shell, so the vessel is its own secondary containment and the site needs no poured dike. It is 102 inches in diameter, 197 inches tall and weighs 3,000 lb empty, with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity with a service limit of 140 F (60 C). 4500 gallons of water weighs 37,530 lb; at the full 1.5 rating the contents can weigh 56,295 lb. Where it goes
The 1.5 rating covers liquids up to one and a half times the weight of water: water, most liquid fertilizers and many common treatment chemicals. At 4500 gallons, contained, that is a tank for a farm supply yard, a co-op, a small water system or a plant that takes a tanker load and must keep a release off the ground. A heavier liquid needs a different tank; call us and we will find one rated for it. The 140 F limit allows for warm product.
The manway sits 197 inches up, so plan a fixed ladder or platform with fall protection, and under a roof measure the height plus room to work. Up to 56,295 lb on a 102 inch circle wants a designed, cured, level slab before the tank is booked. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, vent and inspection opening. Keep the vent open whenever you fill.
- Outlet and fill. No outlet, fill connection or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the truck connection, the draw line size and your valves, and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
- The liquid. Check it in our chemical compatibility guide and give us its density and strength.
- The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Specify it separately and keep a dated log. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

The tank ships at freight class 250 from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant, 102 by 102 by 197 inches at 3,000 lb. It travels on its side, and a load this size may be routed to us by phone rather than priced online. Plan the route, the crane and the set position before it ships; lift only as Snyder's handling instructions direct, never by the manway. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 5620000N40. Stand it plumb on the cured slab, fill it with water, hold the 37,530 lb load while you check the base and the manway, then drain, dry and look between the walls before the first delivery.
