Collection duty, and why the gauge matters

Used oil collection is one of the few tank jobs where the contents arrive unpredictably and leave on somebody else's schedule. A shop drains crankcases, gearboxes and hydraulic systems all day; the oil has to go somewhere immediately, stay there without anybody thinking about it, and then leave when the hauler arrives. Between those two events the only question that matters is how full the tank is, which is why Snyder puts the gauge in the name.
