Where a tote this size makes sense

The 48 inch width is the pallet dimension, so the tote goes through the same doors and down the same aisles as a standard unit; the 81 inch length is what you plan around, in the rack bay and on the truck. Because it stacks, the second one goes on top of the first instead of alongside it, which matters when floor space is the scarce thing. Stacking deserves discipline: stack on a flat floor, stack square, stack loaded units only as your site's own rules allow, and never lean a stack against a rack upright and call it support. A full unit puts 4587 lb of water, and more at the rated specific gravity, onto whatever is beneath it, on top of its own 597 lb, so the forklift's rating at that load centre, the floor and the unit under it are all part of the calculation. Move it with the forks all the way through and a straight lift. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch outlet. Tell us what you are connecting, valve, camlock or pump, and we will confirm the thread and whether a valve comes fitted before the tote ships.
2. Inlet. A 2 inch inlet for a closed fill line or a pump return.
3. Lid. A 7 inch lid on top for filling from a hose, dropping a suction line in, and inspection.
