A big reserve that stays under the roofline

A 102 inch body sits below most shed eaves and behind a fence without towering over it, which is why buyers choose this shape for a farm water reserve, a wash bay supply, rainwater collection or a process water buffer inside an existing building. The trade is floor area: a 142 inch circle needs a pad to match, poured level and in full contact, because a moulded tank bears on its whole floor and a low spot concentrates the load. What to check before you buy

1. The weight of the liquid. 1.5 specific gravity is the ceiling. A dense brine or a concentrated solution heavier than that belongs in the heavy duty 1.9 rated version of this same shell, which we also list.
2. The outlet. No bottom fitting is listed for this tank. Tell us the pipe size and the liquid and we will confirm the fitting before you order. On a low tank the head over the outlet is small, so a pump set below the fitting stays primed and a gravity feed runs slowly near empty.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented on top: room to fill from a hose, drop in a float switch and get an arm in to clean.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400 from Snyder's plant at Philippi, West Virginia, 142 by 142 by 102 inches and 1,150 lb. It is wider than a standard trailer, so it moves as an oversize load; check the gate, the turn onto the pad and any wires overhead before the truck is booked. The listed price is before freight, and the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. Unload with straps under the body, never a hook in the manway. Check 5250000N49 against the bill of lading at the tailgate and walk round the base for damage. Fill it with water first and look at the base and the pad after a day before you put it into service.
