Where it goes

Measure the floor first, then the roof, then the wind. The floor is the reason this shape exists: a 102 inch circle fits where a wider tank does not, and 6,000 gallons is a real bulk volume to get into it, which is why a treatment building adding storage in the last open corner, a manufacturer replacing a wall of totes down a narrow bay, or a co-op putting a feed solution behind the shop all end up here. The small circle concentrates the load, because a rotationally moulded floor bears on its whole floor; engineer the slab to our concrete pad sizing guide, level, cured and in full contact, and never set a narrow tall tank on a slab poured for a wide low one. The roof has to clear 188 inches plus a fill line, a vent and a platform. The wind gets the restraint: bands to structure or cast in anchors on the day it lands. What to check before you buy

1. The rating. 1.5 specific gravity means liquids up to 1.5 times the weight of water. A brine or a concentrate belongs on the heavy duty wall in this same shell, linked below. Check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide.
2. The outlet. The product data for 7430000N46 names the manway and no base fitting. Name the liquid and the draw-off arrangement at order and we confirm what the tank is supplied with before anything is cut. What hangs off the base connection is where tall tanks get hurt: first valve on its own support, flexible element to hard pipe, nothing rigid bolted to the shell.
3. Pump placement. A transfer pump below the connection stays primed by gravity and runs flooded to the last few inches, with a low level float to stop it before it draws air.
4. The manway and vent. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at 188 inches means a fixed platform with a rail and a gate, a permanent fill connection, a dip tube to the floor and a vent run outdoors on anything that fumes, sized to the delivery pump. Temperature limit: 140 F.

A tall tank prices on the deck space it takes, so put the delivery ZIP into the freight cost estimator before you commit. Set it with straps under the body, never a sling through the manway, onto a pad that has cured, and band it before the crane is released.
