The outlet and the vent line
- Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, at the base; tell us the liquid when ordering and the fitting is matched to it, with a flanged transition, a flexible connector to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the pad in the material the chemical calls for.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway, 140 inches up; a platform with a rail for anyone who opens it. Dip tube to the floor on the fill, vent to the outside on anything that gives off gas, and a vent big enough for the delivery pump.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Nearly twelve feet of liquid above a 3 inch outlet is a strong flooded suction, and the outlet drains a full tank in a working shift; the pump sits below the outlet and primes itself, and a low-level float stops it before the tank runs dry. Label the tank for the one chemical it holds, keep the lid closed against vapor loss, and when it opens, shine a light on the headspace wall, which ages before the wetted wall does. Where it freezes, insulate or trace the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
