Where it goes

At eleven feet this tank fits under the roof of a standard steel building or a high carport, and a wide base on a short column gives it a low centre of gravity, so it needs less strapping against wind than a tall slim tank of the same volume. It is the shape to buy for a bulk water reserve beside a barn or a packing shed, a process or rinse water tank inside a plant, a reuse collection tank, or a bulk fertilizer or chemical tank at a blender with room on the ground. What it asks for is floor. A rotationally moulded tank bears on its whole floor, so the 120 inch circle carries all 50,040 lb of water, more at the rating, and a pad with a low side loads that side first. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. Three inches empties 6,000 gallons in a shift and keeps a transfer pump flooded. Fit a flexible connector to hard pipe and support the first valve off the pad; a wide tank grows a little in the sun and the pipe must be allowed to follow.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, reached from a short platform at eleven feet. Wide enough for a fill hose, a float and cleaning. Keep the vent clear.
3. Liquid and temperature. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals to 120 F; ask us about anything aggressive before you order. Where a second wall is required, the double wall freeboard guide works out the usable volume.

Unload with a crane or a loader with long forks and slings under the body, never through the manway, onto the cured pad.
