Heavier chemistry needs a higher-SG tank
Some common chemicals exceed this tank's 1.5 SG rating and require a tank rated to 1.9 SG instead: ethylene glycol, ferric chloride, ferric sulfate, hydrofluosilicic acid, polyaluminum chloride, potassium carbonate, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, and sodium thiosulfate. Most use PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets; the exceptions are propylene glycol (PP/316SS fittings) and hydrofluosilicic acid (Viton gaskets).
