Where it goes

Two things on the site decide this tank. The first is the ground: full of water it puts 54,210 lb on a 120 inch circle, and a rotationally moulded floor bears on all of it, so the slab is poured level and in full contact; our concrete pad sizing guide covers the design. The second is the roof: the manway sits 153 inches up and wants a vent line and a fill line above it, so check the purlins before it goes indoors; where there is less height, look at the 6200 gallon tank linked below. Outdoors, a black tank this tall is a sail when empty and grows a little in the sun every day, so the cables to structure go on before the first fill and get checked after the first windy week and the first full summer. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Up to 1.35 specific gravity and 120 F in this tank. Check it in the chemical compatibility guide; a liquid heavier than 1.35 times water needs one of the heavier walls on this shell, not this one.
2. The outlet. Tell us the liquid and the pipe size you are connecting and we confirm the fitting that goes in the wall. Put the pump below the outlet so gravity primes it, the first valve on its own support, a flexible connector to hard pipe so vibration and thermal movement never reach the wall, and a low-level float so the pump never draws air.

A crane stands it up with straps under the body, never through the manway, and the cables go on before the crane leaves. Check the part number 7140000N33 on the bill of lading, look over the shell for transit damage, and fill it with water to the shoulder first, holding it while you watch the pad edge and the outlet fitting; on a water-weight liquid the test fill is close to the working load.
