Where a 30 inch tank earns its place

Buy this shape when floor is the thing you are short of. Thirty inches of circle fits in the corner of a pump house, beside a well pressure tank, in a greenhouse head house or in the bay a pair of drums used to hold. What it asks for in return is headroom: measure the lowest pipe, duct or shelf above the spot before you measure the door, because the tank is 72 inches tall and the lid needs a hand above it to open. A tall, slender tank should be strapped to a wall or a frame before the first fill, and the floor under it must be flat and continuous out to the full 30 inch edge; a rotomolded base bears on whatever touches it and nothing else. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm, treatment and wash-down chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads, kept under 120 F. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need a heavy duty tank rather than this one. 1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
