2000 Gallon Blue Heavy Duty Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Where it goes

Liquid fertilizer at a dealer or a farm, water treatment chemical at a plant, brine, and any stored liquid denser than water are the jobs that call for the 1.9 rating; plain water storage does not need it, and the standard tank does that job for less. The 64 inch diameter puts two thousand gallons on a small pad by using height, so measure the clearance: 152 inches to the top of the manway, plus room to open it. The tank sits on a flat, continuous, level pad that supports the whole bottom; with 31692 lb of liquid in it at the rated density, the pad matters, and your installer sizes it; a poured concrete pad a few inches larger than the tank all round is the usual answer. What goes in it

Fertilizer solutions, brines and the treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles, up to 1.9 times the weight of water. Keep the contents under 120 F. Light blue lets you read the level through the wall. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. Your valve threads straight into it; support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware, and allow for the wall moving slightly as the tank fills. For a dense liquid, check the valve and pipe materials against the chemical as well as the tank.
2. Inlet. None from the factory. Fill through the manway, or add a bulkhead fitting high on the wall for a plumbed fill; dry-fit it before tightening.
3. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose, drop a float or a suction line in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
