Why double wall

Where a liquid must not reach the ground or the drain, the rule is usually secondary containment: something that holds a leak until someone sees it. The usual answer is a tank inside a bunded wall or a spill pallet, which takes floor space, collects rainwater and has to be pumped out. A double wall tank carries its containment with it. The outer shell sits around the inner one, so the footprint is the tank's own 53 inch circle and there is no open basin to fill with rain. That makes it a good fit for a chemical feed point at a water or wastewater plant, a remote well or lift station, a shop or plant floor where space is short, and anywhere an inspector will ask what happens if the tank leaks. The 1.9 rating covers liquids nearly twice the weight of water. What to check before you buy

1. The outlet and fittings. No outlet fitting is listed for this part number. On a double wall tank the way liquid leaves the inner tank is part of the containment design, so tell us how you will draw from it, by pump from the top or by a fitting, and we will confirm with Snyder what it comes with.
2. The manway. 18 inch, threaded and vented, for filling, inspection and a level probe.
3. The liquid. Check it in the chemical compatibility guide and name it when you order; the fitting and gasket materials are chosen from the chemistry.
