Where the low five thousand goes
At 86 inches tall this tank stands under a barn roof, a tall carport or a commercial canopy that would stop the tall shape, and the manway is reachable from a short ladder, which makes the yearly look inside a small job. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. For a fire draft or fast truck filling, 2 inches is on the slow side; tell us the flow you need before the tank ships. Support the valve and pipe on their own.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line from a pump or a roof drain system.
- Manway. A 22 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to work through, and the tank's vent.
- Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water. Liquid fertilizers are heavier and need a tank rated 1.5 or higher. Keep contents under 120 F.

It ships as an oversize shipment on a flatbed, freight class OVS, 758 lb, from Norwesco's Hanford, California plant, and the carrier needs a site a flatbed can reach and turn in. At the tailgate, check the part number against 40943 on the bill of lading, walk round the shell for transit damage, set it on the slab, and fill it with water first, holding the level overnight and watching the fittings, before it carries anything else.
