A 7500 gallon black cone bottom tank for process and bulk storage
The Norwesco 7500 gallon black cone bottom tank, part number 42976, is a polyethylene process and storage tank 141 inches in diameter and 149 inches tall, weighing 1385 lb empty. This is the 30 degree cone version of the shell; the white and blue versions of the same tank are listed below. The cone bottom lets the whole contents drain to the 3 inch outlet at the low point, so nothing is left behind to settle or contaminate the next batch, and a 30 degree cone moves solids and heavier liquids along better than a shallow one. It has a 16 inch lid on top. Norwesco rates it for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity; 7500 gallons of water weighs 62550 lb. The resin is FDA compliant per Norwesco and the service limit is 120 F. Where it goes

The cone sits in a stand, and the stand needs a flat, level, continuous slab under all its feet. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer, brine and the treatment and process chemicals polyethylene handles. Openings, fittings and the stand
- Outlet. 3 inch at the bottom of the cone. Fit a valve directly to it so the tank can be shut while the line below is worked on, and support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the cone carries liquid, not hardware.
- Lid. 16 inches on top: fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float or a level sender in, and get a hand and a brush inside.
