The Enduraplas 250 Gallon White Horizontal Sump Bottom Leg Tank ships with its frame and a built-in sump bottom that lets the tank drain down toward its low point, making it a working horizontal leg tank for mobile and stationary transfer of water and a wide range of process chemicals. Filled with water, the contents weigh roughly 2,085 lb; loaded to the full rated 1.9 specific gravity, the tank is designed to carry up to 3,962 lb of contents. Size your application to that rated weight, not just to the 250 gallon volume, and confirm your trailer, skid, or stand is rated to support the loaded figure. Chemical compatibility

This tank is polyethylene with a 1.9 specific gravity rating. The resin is HDLPE on our records but is still flagged for confirmation, so before committing it to any chemical beyond plain water or DEF, get the resin grade confirmed in writing first; HDLPE and XLPE diverge on solvent and oxidizer service, and that one answer protects you against a compatibility miss. The fitting and gasket materials listed below are the recommended wetted materials you select to match each liquid, not hardware included with the tank, so confirm your outlet size and fitting/gasket material at 866-418-1777 before you order. Compatibility is drawn from the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is always concentration- and temperature-specific; verify your exact conditions against that chart before filling.

The mistake to avoid

The trap on this tank is assuming one default gasket and one default fitting material cover the whole list. They do not. The chemicals that break the standard EPDM assumption and require Viton gaskets are hydrochloric acid (37%), hydrofluoric acid (48%), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%), hydrogen peroxide (50%), phosphoric acid (85%), sulfuric acid (98%, on CPVC fittings), and sodium hypochlorite/bleach (<16.5%) — an EPDM-gasketed fitting will degrade in those services. Peracetic acid (30%) is the single hardest case and needs Aflas gaskets, not Viton or EPDM. Separately, DEF (32.5%), peracetic acid, propylene glycol, and zinc orthophosphate call for 316SS wetted fittings rather than plastic PVC/PP, so plan on metal outlets for those four. Match the hardware to the liquid, settle the HDLPE-versus-XLPE question first, and always size to the 3,962 lb rated load, not the 250 gallon volume.
