Openings, fittings and what to check before you buy

1. Outlet. A 3 inch outlet at the point of the cone. Tell us the liquid and we confirm the fitting material and thread it arrives with before the order ships. Support the valve and the first length of pipe from the stand or the floor so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch manway with a 16 inch lid. Confirm the venting with us before you draw the tank down with a pump: a 10000 gallon tank drained through a 3 inch port pulls in air as fast as liquid leaves.

4. Height. The tank alone is 190 inches tall. Add the stand and the room to open the manway before you commit to a building or a roofline.

Set the stand level across both diagonals before the tank arrives, set the tank, turn it so the outlet points where the pipe will run, fit the valve, and fill with water the first time so any problem shows up with something harmless inside.
