What to check before you buy

1. The surface under it. A flat bottom tank wants a flat, continuous surface under the whole footprint. On a trailer that means solid decking. A tank bridging open cross members flexes at every fill.
2. The lid. One 8 inch lid on top for filling and venting. It is not a manway; clean the tank through the lid with a wand.
3. The outlet. No outlet fitting is listed on this tank. Tell us where you want the drain and what size, and we confirm what ships on the tank and what to add.
4. The liquid. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals. Heavier than 1.5 times water, or hotter than 120 F, needs a different tank.
5. Tie-down. Strap over the body, never across the lid, with enough straps that a half full tank cannot walk sideways.
