The Norwesco 10000 gallon multi-use underground tank, part number 45686, is a one piece polyethylene tank built to be buried: 356 inches long, 101 inches wide and 107 inches tall, white, weighing 3001 lb empty. What it is for

What to check before you buy
- The hole. The tank is 356 inches long, 101 wide and 107 tall before risers. Plan the excavation, the bedding and the backfill from Norwesco's installation instructions, not from a general contractor's habit with concrete tanks; a polyethylene tank is backfilled with water in it, in lifts, so the wall is supported from both sides as the hole closes.
- The manholes. Two, each with a 24 inch cover. Decide the burial depth first, because the risers that bring the covers to grade are ordered with the tank: Norwesco's 6 inch riser N-64410, one for each manhole.
- Traffic. Tell us if anything heavier than a lawn mower will cross the tank. Burial depth, cover and traffic loading are decided together and Norwesco's instructions set the limits.
