An 1100 gallon low profile black water tank for a low building

Where the low 1100 goes
Buyers pick this shape when the tall 1100 will not clear the roof. At 53 inches the manway is at chest height, so a float valve, a level sensor and a cleaning brush all go in from the ground. The cost of that is an 87 inch footprint, and the whole circle must sit on a flat, level, continuous base: this is not a tank for four blocks and a sheet of plywood. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. A 2 inch valve threads in directly. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries water, not hardware.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line from a pump or a downspout.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, large enough for a float assembly and an arm.
- Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water only in practice; liquid fertilizers are heavier and belong in a tank rated 1.5 or higher. Contents under 120 F.
