A 1000 gallon black water tank, 64 inches across and 81 inches tall
The Norwesco 1000 gallon vertical water storage tank, part number 41500, is a black polyethylene tank 64 inches in diameter and 81 inches tall. The jobs that need every gallon of it
The buyers are a rural home or cabin on hauled water, a small farm consolidating several little tanks onto one pad with one pump, a nursery or vineyard holding irrigation water between rains, a contractor supplying a long job from one delivery point, and a property that wants standing water it did not buy from a meter. The shape is the sensible one for the scale: at 64 inches across and 81 inches tall it is wide enough to stand steady, low enough that the manway is reachable from a short step rather than a ladder, and tall enough to keep a pump flooded and a hose pressurised, with the water surface nearly seven feet above the outlet when full. What it demands is a proper base. Full, it puts more than four tons through a 64 inch circle, carried by a moulded floor that bears on everything it touches and nothing else, so a hollow under the middle or a high corner becomes the bearing point and stays that way. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. A 2 inch valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries water, not hardware.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line, a float valve or the overflow.
- Manway. A 16 inch vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in, and get a hand and a brush inside to clean. The vent lets air in and out as the level changes; never plug it.
