A 1075 gallon low profile black water tank with a waist-high manway
The Norwesco 1075 gallon vertical water storage tank, part number 43804, is a black polyethylene tank 87 inches in diameter and 51 inches tall, weighing 154 lb empty. Where the low 1075 fits
At 51 inches this tank goes under a deck, a lean-to, a mobile home skirt line or a barn eave that would stop every taller thousand gallon tank. It is also the easiest tank of its volume to live with: you fill it, set a float, pull a sensor and scrub the floor standing on the ground. The 87 inch footprint needs a flat, level, continuous base that carries 8966 lb of water plus the tank. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the wall. On a tank this short the fitting sits close to the ground, so plan the valve and the first elbow before the tank is set. Support the valve and the pipe on their own.
- Inlet. A 1-1/2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting for the fill line.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, at waist height on this tank. It is also the vent; leave it able to breathe.
- Rating. 1.1 specific gravity, a maximum of 9.18 lb per gallon. Water and rainwater; liquid fertilizers are heavier and need a tank rated 1.5 or higher. Keep contents under 120 F.
