Where a 15 degree cone earns its place

A cone bottom tank is the right choice when what goes in has to come all the way out: a fertilizer blend that settles, a chemical you make up in batches, a process liquid you cannot leave between loads. What to check before you buy

1. The stand. Norwesco pairs this tank with stand N-64090. A 15 degree cone sits in a 15 degree stand and nothing else; our cone bottom stand compatibility matrix lists the pairings, and we confirm the stand against the tank part number before the order ships.
2. The outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. Your valve threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
3. The manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump and to get a brush inside.
4. The height underneath. With the tank in its stand, the outlet sits high enough for a valve and a hose. If a pump, a drum or a mixer has to go under it, measure that equipment against the drawing before you order.

At the tailgate, check the part number against 44422 on the bill of lading, look over the cone and the fitting for transit damage, set the stand level across both diagonals before the tank goes in, and fill with water the first time so any problem shows up with something harmless inside.
