1505 Gallon Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Where a tall, narrow 1500 fits

Buy this shape when the floor is spoken for and the air above it is not: against the wall of a shop or a packing shed, in a row of tanks along a fence line, in a corner where a wider tank will not go. Check the height first. At 135 inches the top of the tank is over eleven feet up, which rules out most eaves and many barn bays, and the lid is up there with it, so plan a fill line plumbed to the top and fit the float switch or level gauge before the tank goes into service. The 60 inch base needs a flat, level, continuous surface; because it carries 18828 lb at full rating on a five foot circle, a concrete pad is the right foundation. What goes in it

Water, rainwater, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Keep the contents below 120 F and below 1.5 times the weight of water. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch outlet low in the side wall. Tell us the connection you are making and we confirm the fitting type and thread on the tank that ships to you. Whatever the fitting, turn the tank so the outlet faces the pipe run before the first fill, and support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Lid. A 16 inch lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in and to get a brush inside. Confirm with us whether you need it vented for your fill and draw arrangement.

The tank ships by LTL freight at freight class 400, lying down on the trailer at 135 by 60 by 60 inches with a ship weight of 285 lb, from Norwesco's Fairfield, Texas plant. Three people, or a loader with a strap, stand it up at delivery; have the pad ready so it goes straight to its spot. At the tailgate, check the part number against 44259 on the bill of lading, look over the full length of the shell for transit damage before signing, and fill it with water the first time so any problem shows up with something harmless inside.
