Norwesco 6500 Gallon Black Vertical Storage Tank

The wide, shorter way to hold 6500 gallons

Norwesco makes 6500 gallons two ways. This tank is the wide one: just under ten feet across and twelve and a half feet tall, where the 6502 gallon tank is narrower and taller. Pick this shell when a roofline or a building caps the height, and the manway is a shorter climb. It is a common size for a ranch or rural home water supply on haul or a slow well, a rainwater cistern fed from a barn or shop roof, an irrigation buffer, or a fire protection reserve on a site without hydrants. What goes in it

Water, rainwater, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. At 1.5 specific gravity the heaviest full load is 81315 lb; anything denser than one and a half times water belongs in the heavy duty version, not this tank. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a 2 inch reducer, factory installed low in the wall. Take the reducer out for a 3 inch gravity feed or a pump suction; leave it in to plumb 2 inch. Put a flexible connector before any rigid pipe and support the valve on its own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose, drop a float in, and get a brush inside. Never plug the vent.
3. Inlet. No separate inlet fitting is installed. Ask us about a fill fitting at a set height before the tank ships if you need one.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from the nearer of Norwesco's Hanford, California and St. Bonifacius, Minnesota plants, 119 by 119 by 150 inches and 1346 lb, on its side on a flatbed.
