Norwesco 6100 Gallon Black Vertical Storage Tank

Where it goes and what it holds

This is the size a rural household, a small farm or a remote site buys when a single tank has to carry a week or more of water: hauled water storage, a fire reserve, irrigation buffer or rainwater collection off a large roof. Standing nearly ten feet across and eleven feet eight to the crown, it needs a flat, continuous, level pad under the entire base; a high spot under one edge becomes a lean that loads one arc of the base instead of the whole circle. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall, with a 2 inch reducer so the same fitting takes either a 3 inch or a 2 inch line. A 3 inch outlet matters on a tank this size when you want to fill a truck or feed a fire pump quickly; a 2 inch line is plenty for a house or a drip system. Support the valve and the first length of pipe within a foot of the wall so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for filling, a float valve, a level sensor and cleaning access. The vent lets air move as the level changes; leave it clear.
3. Extra ports. Only the one outlet comes installed. A second draw, an overflow or a top fill port means extra bulkhead fittings; tell us when you order and we quote them with the tank.

It comes empty and upright, and you need a way to get it off the truck: a forklift with long forks, a loader with straps, or enough hands and a clear path to the pad.
