Water, liquid fertilizer and the process and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles. Buy the heavy duty tank for the 1.9 rating when the liquid is denser than fertilizer, or when you want the thicker wall for a long service life outdoors. Keep the contents under 120 F. Tell us the chemical and the concentration before you order if you are not sure it belongs in polyethylene, and we will check it with you.

Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting low in the side wall, with a 2 inch reducer in the box. Keep the full 3 inch for a pump suction or a fast gravity draw; reduce to 2 inch where the valve and pipe are already 2 inch. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the wall carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top. It fills, vents and lets you inspect; keep it threaded down so the tank breathes through the vent.
3. Extra fittings. A second outlet, a level gauge port or a side fill fitting can be added on the same order. Tell us before it ships.
