- Standard or heavy duty. Standard tanks are rated to 1.5 specific gravity (12.52 lbs per gallon). Heavy duty tanks are rated to 1.9 (15.87 lbs per gallon) for heavier liquids.
- Above or below ground. Septic and underground tanks are made to be buried. Above-ground tanks are not.
