Outlet and manway
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the bottom of the sidewall, factory installed.
- Access: 18 inch threaded, vented manway.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Thread a PVC or CPVC adapter into the outlet with a compatible sealant, put a flexible transition before the hard pipe, and support the valve off the floor. Eighty-nine inches of head over a 2 inch outlet gravity-feeds a transfer line or floods a pump suction. A white tank shows its level in daylight; in a pump room plan a sight tube or a sender at the outlet. In a freezing climate, a brine or fertilizer solution expands against a wall not designed for ice, so house the tank or keep it above freezing.
