Water treatment and process duty at 10,500 gallons

Most liquids held at this volume are water or a solution near it: treatment chemicals at a municipal plant, warm process or wash water at an industrial site, a reclaimed water buffer on an open pad where a black wall keeps anything from growing. For those the 1.5 rating is the whole specification and the heavy duty wall is margin you will never use; the cross-linked resin and its 140 F limit are what you are buying. Call us if you are unsure the chemistry needs cross-linking. A rotationally moulded floor bears on its whole floor, so 131,355 lb lands on the 143 inch circle; engineer the slab to our concrete pad sizing guide, level and in full contact, inside containment sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid and its temperature. 1.5 and 140 F are limits. Write both next to the liquid's name on the wall, and tell us before you order if either is close.
2. The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you need and we will confirm what this tank accepts before anything is cut. The base fitting sits on its own support off the pad with a flexible connector to hard pipe.
3. The manway and the vent. 18 inch threaded and vented, 179 inches above the pad: a fixed platform with a rail and a gate or a caged ladder to a landing. Size the vent to the delivery pump, land a permanent fill line at the manway with a dip tube to the floor, and run the vent outdoors on anything that fumes.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships at freight class 300, 143 by 143 by 179 inches, 2,600 lb, from Snyder's plant at Chowchilla, California, on an open deck as a permitted wide load, so a West Coast pad is on a short lane and anything east should be priced rather than assumed. Put your ZIP into the freight cost estimator and walk the route in before the order. The listed price is before freight. Unload with a crane or a heavy forklift, straps under the body, never a sling through the manway. Check the part number against 5330300N46 on the bill of lading. Fill it with cold water to the manway before anything warm goes in and walk the base and the containment floor while it holds.
