10,000 gallons in dark green on a twelve foot base
The Snyder 32026 is a dark green high density linear polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 142 inches across and 167 inches tall, holding 10,000 gallons at 2,170 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 125,100 pounds of contents against 83,400 for water, so it holds water, brine and the moderate-density liquids as well as water alone, and the dark green wall keeps light out of stored water so it stays clear of algae. A 2 inch polypropylene outlet, a 20 inch threaded, vented manway, and it ships as oversize freight.

Forty tons of water on a twelve foot circle
Full of water, the 32026 puts 83,400 pounds on a 142 inch circle, and a rotationally molded floor bears on the whole pad, so the pad is what matters: an engineered slab in full contact under the entire floor, per the concrete pad sizing guide, screeded flat, with no pipe trench or drain crossing under it. The empty tank is strapped against wind, and the straps go slack once it is full. The 10,000 gallon vertical tank buyers guide compares the shapes at this volume across makers; the tank sizing calculator tells you whether 10,000 gallons covers the draw, and the tank sizing guide covers days of supply.
Breathing at this size
A 10,000 gallon tank moves a great deal of air as it fills, empties and warms in the sun, and a manway vent that was fine on a 1,500 gallon tank can be too small here: a pump drawing hard on an under-vented tank pulls a vacuum that oval-s the wall, and a tanker filling it faster than it can exhale pressurizes the headspace. The atmospheric vent capacity guide works the API 2000 arithmetic for thermal inbreathing and pump-out on tanks from 1,500 to 10,000 gallons; size the vent from it, and screen it.
Snyder's 9,800 to 10,500 gallon verticals
| Part | Gallons | Diameter x height | Empty weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| 32026 (this tank, dark green, 1.5 SG) | 10,000 | 142 x 167 in | 2,170 lb |
| 32028 (heavy wall) | 10,000 | 142 x 167 in | 2,539 lb |
| 5330000C34 | 10,500 | 142 x 169 in | 2,250 lb |
| 7450000C26 (tall) | 9,800 | 120 x 215 in | 2,800 lb |
The 32028 is the same tank with more resin in the wall, for a heavier liquid or a harder life outdoors. The 5330000C34 holds 10,500 gallons on this same base 2 inches taller, and the 7450000C26 stands 9,800 gallons on a 120 inch base at 215 inches for a site with height and less floor.

Ports and manway
- Outlet: 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base; a flexible connector between the bulkhead and hard pipe, and the valve supported off the slab.
- Access: 20 inch threaded, vented manway, 167 inches up, reached from a platform.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
A 2 inch outlet feeds a pressure pump or a fire pump's suction without starving it; for a fire reserve, a larger outlet is specified at order. Tee a sight tube off the outlet to read the level through the dark wall, or fit a sender read at ground level so nobody climbs for a number. Where it freezes, insulate or drain the outlet valve and the first length of pipe; the body takes ice from the top down without harm, and at this volume it freezes slowly.
What it holds in practice
Well storage for a farm or a small subdivision, a rain cistern under a large roof, irrigation and stock water, brine and fertilizer solution at the 1.5 rating, and a fire reserve of the kind the fire-water reservoir design guide describes, where 10,000 gallons is a real reserve and the dark wall keeps the water clean while it waits.
Getting it to the pad
At 142 inches across and 167 inches long on the deck the 32026 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600) on a flatbed at a lane rate, with an escort on most routes; the freight cost estimator prices it for your ZIP, and the listed price is before freight. A crane sets 2,170 pounds upright on the slab. Fill it to the manway once, hold it, check the outlet fitting, and keep a screen on the vent. Once it is full and holding, leave it alone for a day before the plumbing goes on; a settled tank is a quiet one.
