Two tankers of water or fertilizer, kept dark

The 1.5 wall is the middle grade: heavier than a water only tank, lighter than the 1.9 heavy duty wall, sized for the liquids most co-ops, plants and districts store in bulk, with margin. The pad is a 142 inch circle carrying up to 131,355 lb when the tank is full at the rating, so the slab is engineered per our concrete pad sizing guide, level, and in full contact with the whole tank floor. At 169 inches the manway needs a platform with a rail. Cable the empty tank to structure before the first fill and recheck after the first summer, because black polyethylene grows in the sun. Black keeps light off the contents, so stored water stays clear through a season and light sensitive liquids keep their strength; it runs warmer than white in the sun, so shade a heat sensitive liquid, and it hides the level, so a sender at the pad is the gauge. A regulated liquid gets a berm sized to the tank.

What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and no hotter than 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base, under 169 inches of head when full. Flexible connector before hard pipe, valve supported off the pad. Tell us the liquid so we confirm the fitting suits it.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. Fill through a dip tube and size the vent to the delivery pump.

The tank ships from the nearer of Snyder's plants in Lincoln, Nebraska, or Philippi, West Virginia, as one piece 142 by 142 by 169 inches at 2,250 lb, freight class 300. At that width the truck is usually arranged by phone; if the estimator asks you to call, that is the size, not a problem with the order. Plan a crane or a large forklift and a crew for the unload.
