Where it goes

Ten and a half thousand gallons behind a 1.9 wall, out of a California plant, is bought by a Central Valley food processor with a dense cleaning or process chemistry, a water utility taking a heavy coagulant by the tanker, a minerals operation holding a reagent well above the weight of water, a fertilizer dealer storing a dense solution through a season. For the Central Valley, the coast and the intermountain West the freight lane is short. Water sits far inside the rating and does not need this wall; the 1.5 rated and 1.35 rated versions of this same body are the honest buys for water or a light process liquid. A rotationally moulded floor bears on the whole pad and nothing else, so 87,570 lb of water, and up to 1.9 times that with a dense liquid, presses down through a 143 inch circle. Engineer the slab level, cured and in full contact to our concrete pad sizing guide, berm it where the liquid is regulated, and in seismic country design the anchorage with the slab rather than after it. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway, 179 inches up. A fixed ladder or a platform off adjacent structure, a rail and gate at the opening, and a hard-piped fill landed at the manway. Fill through a dip tube to the floor; size the vent to the delivery pump.
2. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. A suction line through the manway keeps the shell undrilled, which on a dense liquid is worth having; if the process needs a bottom draw, tell us the liquid and pipe size when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits before it ships. 3. Base plumbing. First valve on its own support off the pad, flexible connector to hard pipe, pump below the outlet with a low-level float. On a heavy liquid nobody should be dipping, so fit a gauge.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Chowchilla, CA, at its own 143 by 143 by 179 inch dimensions, an oversize load; the estimator will tell you whether your lane needs a phone call. Have the pad cured and the anchorage cast in before the truck is scheduled, then stand 3,000 lb upright in one pick with straps around the body and nothing through the manway. Check the part number 5330300N42 against the bill of lading before you sign. Commission with water to the manway, hold it, walk the pad edge and the base for movement or a weep, then drain before the process liquid arrives. Walk the base again after the first hard rain; a pad that shifts shows it at the edge first.
