Snyder part number 5330300C37-BLACK is a black polyethylene vertical storage tank holding 10,500 gallons on a 143 inch diameter, 177 inches tall and 2,600 lb empty. It is the general grade black tank, rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity, which covers water, fertilizer solutions and the common chemicals in that range. At 8.34 lb per gallon, 10,500 gallons of water weighs 87,570 lb; at the full rating the contents can reach 131,355 lb. The outlet is a 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting and the top opening is an 18 inch threaded vented manway. The service limit is 120 F. Snyder backs it with a 3 year warranty. Where it goes
A 143 inch tank at 177 inches tall is an outdoor tank or a tank for a high bay. The pad carries up to 131,355 lb when the tank is full at the rating, so the slab is engineered per our concrete pad sizing guide, level, and in full contact with the whole tank floor. The manway needs a platform with a rail. Cable the empty tank to structure before the first fill and recheck after the first summer, since black polyethylene grows in the sun. Black keeps light off the contents, so stored water stays clear and light sensitive liquids keep their strength; it runs warmer than white in the sun, so give a heat sensitive liquid shade, and it hides the level, so a sender at the pad is the gauge. If the liquid is regulated, size the berm to the tank.
What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common chemicals polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and not above 120 F. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base, under 177 inches of head when full. Flexible connector before hard pipe, valve supported off the pad. Tell us the liquid so we confirm the fitting suits it.
