A white shell on the same seven foot five inch circle

Site the tank where somebody will actually look at it, because that is what the white wall is for. In daylight the level shows through a natural white shell, so an operator walking past reads the tank without a panel and uses it as the cross-check on whatever the sender reports, which is worth more on a vessel dosed every day than on one filled twice a season. That argues for the lit side of the building, the pad people pass, the bay with a window rather than the far corner behind the equipment. The shape decides the rest. At 77 inches the shell stands six feet five inches, so a beam that would stop a tall 1,500 gallon tank leaves this one room for a fill line and a vent, while the 89 inch circle asks for seven feet five inches of slab, will not pass a 36 inch doorway, and needs a forklift aisle drawn on the same sketch as the pad. That slab carries the heaviest load in this group: plain water is 12,510 pounds and the 1.9 rating allows 23,769 pounds of contents, and a rotationally molded floor bears on its whole floor, so every square foot of the circle takes its share and a single low corner in the pour becomes the corner the tank stands on. Level, full contact, engineered for the bearing pressure, inside a berm sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated. Band it to structure or to slab anchors the day it lands, because 400 pounds of empty shell slides on a smooth slab in a gust, and check the tension after the first storm. One honest limitation belongs beside the advantage: a pale wall passes light, so a liquid that fades, ferments or grows in the light wants a dark shell rather than this one, and a white tank outdoors shows its age in sunlight sooner than a black one does. Two things separate this tank from everything in the table. The first is the colour: the same 89 by 77 inch mold is also produced in a black wall, listed separately and rated as its own sheet says, and the choice between them is a straight trade of visible level against light exclusion. Take this one when the operator reading the tank matters more than the liquid hiding from the sun. The second is the wall itself at 400 pounds empty, the heaviest 1,500 gallon molding here, against the three 1770000 shells that hold the same volume in an 86 inch circle at 72 inches and weigh 260 pounds, each rated as its own sheet gives it. If your liquid is near 8.34 pounds per gallon, one of those is the sensible buy; if it is genuinely dense, this wall and its 1.9 rating are what you came for. • Outlet: the sheet gives the outlet as "1 Manway / Lid" and no bottom fitting size is printed anywhere on it. That field appears here exactly as it stands and is not read as a pipe diameter; no bulkhead size is claimed for this tank on this page. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want at order and we confirm what this molding takes, in what material, with what gasket, before a hole is made in it.
• Listed opening: an 18 inch threaded, vented manway at 77 inches. The height is easy and the width is not, because the manway sits near the middle of a seven foot five inch top, so access means a platform that puts a person over the tank with a rail and a gate rather than a ladder leaned against the side.
• Ladder lugs: listed on the sheet, which is what makes a permanent access arrangement practical at this width. The sheet lists lugs and not a ladder; the ladder and platform are specified with the install.
• Fill and vent: a permanent fill connection at the manway, a dip tube to the floor so the incoming stream does not free-fall and foam the headspace, the vent run outdoors on anything that fumes, and the vent sized to the delivery pump, which on a truck-filled 1,500 gallon tank is the fitting that decides how fast a delivery goes.
• Service limit: 120 F / 48 C. Warranty: 3 year. Rating: specific gravity 1.9 as the sheet gives it.

The white wall changes the inspection routine for the better and does not remove it. You can see the level and you can often see sediment on the floor and a stain at the liquid line, which means a walk past the tank is genuinely informative; what you still cannot see from outside is the condition of the wall above the liquid, so the light goes on that band every time the manway is open, along with a look at the threads and the gasket seat and a date on the log. Below the shell, the same two rules as any wide tank: everything plumbed at the base on its own support off the pad with a flexible connector to hard pipe, and a pump below the outlet with a low-level float, because 77 inches is not much head and the last inches drain slowly. Label the wall with the one liquid inside, readable from the truck cab. Where it freezes, protect the base piping and the first valve rather than the body.

Where seeing the level is worth more than keeping out light

This is the tank for the duty that is watched: a dosing or feed tank an operator checks on rounds, a batching station where the next charge depends on what is left, a wash or process water reservoir inside a building, a plating or finishing shop bath supply, and any bulk vessel where an accurate glance is part of the routine and the liquid does not care about sunlight. Freight, unloading, and commissioning a white 1,500

The sheet gives class 300 and 400 pounds shipping weight from Chowchilla, California or Lincoln, Nebraska, so most docks are reachable from one plant or the other on a short lane; price your ZIP in the freight cost estimator before the order is cut and read the listed price as before freight. An 89 inch parcel takes real deck space whatever the scale says, and that is where the cost sits. Unload with a forklift whose forks clear a seven foot five inch base, straps under the body and never a sling through the manway, and set it on the finished pad rather than on gravel it will be dragged off later. Fill it with water to the manway, hold it, and walk the full circumference twice while it stands, watching the slab edge, then drain and dry before the working liquid arrives.
