Where seeing the level is worth more than keeping out light

Site this tank where somebody will actually look at it. An operator walking past reads the level without a panel and uses it as the cross check on whatever the sender reports. One honest limitation sits beside the advantage: a pale wall passes light, so a liquid that fades, ferments or grows in the light wants the black shell. The shape decides the rest. At 77 inches a beam that would stop a tall 1,500 gallon tank leaves this one room for a fill line and a vent; the 89 inch circle needs a forklift aisle drawn on the same sketch as the pad. A rotationally moulded floor bears on its whole floor, so 23,769 lb lands across the full circle. Pour it level and in full contact, inside a berm where the liquid is regulated, and band the empty tank to structure or to slab anchors the day it lands. What to check before you buy

1. The chemistry. This wall is high density linear polyethylene, not cross-linked. It suits water, most liquid fertilizers and many common chemicals, and the 1.9 rating covers dense solutions. 2. The outlet. This page lists the manway, not a bottom fitting. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want and we will confirm what this tank takes, in what material and with what gasket, before a hole is made in it.
3. The manway. 18 inch threaded and vented at 77 inches, near the middle of an 89 inch top. Access means a platform that puts a person over the tank with a rail and a gate. Land a permanent fill connection there, with a dip tube to the floor and the vent sized to the delivery pump.

The white wall improves the inspection routine and does not remove it. The tank ships LTL at freight class 300, 89 by 89 by 77 inches, 400 lb, from Snyder's plant at Chowchilla, California or Lincoln, Nebraska, so most docks are reachable from one plant or the other on a short lane. Unload with a forklift whose forks clear the base, straps under the body, never a sling through the manway. Check the part number against 5990300N45 on the bill of lading. Fill it with water to the manway, walk the full circumference while it stands, then mark the wall at the working level and the full level in daylight; those two marks turn a wall you can see through into a gauge anybody can read.
